Requirements to Study in Denmark:

Denmark offers both private and public universities. Private universities offer UK degrees with six months of post-study work rights. On the other hand, Danish or public universities provide three years of post-study work rights, which are highly regarded.

Visa Requirements for Studying in Denmark

  • You must have completed Year 12.
  • Pass a 4-year higher education degree.
  • You must have certain language proficiencies.
    • Private universities accept IELTS as well as PTE.
    • IELTS only in public universities.
  • If you have been admitted to a preparatory course, conditions for your place of education and the educational program.
    • A minimum GPA of 2.75
    • Requirements can go higher for top universities.

English Language Proficiency Requirements
All higher education programs in Denmark require a high standard of English proficiency. For this purpose, the language tests TOEFL, IELTS, and Cambridge ESOL examinations (CAE) are often used. Usually, the entry requirement is IELTS 6.0 for undergraduate and IELTS 6.5 for postgraduate studies.

Many Danish universities offer English programs, so English proficiency scores are required.

  • Bachelor degree: Year 12 with 60% and IELTS 6.0.
  • Masters Degree: A bachelor’s degree from a recognized provider and an IELTS score of 6.5.

An equivalent score of TOEFL for Cambridge ESOL (CAE) is acceptable.

No Danish Language Proficiency Test is required except for programmes taught in Danish
